Joists are engineered to be straighter and stiffer than solid sawn lumber and
provide for more consistency between pieces. I-Joists are less likely to shrink,
split, twist or crown than solid lumber. I-Joist can come up to 48′ long,
and are lighter than solid lumber.
LVLs, Laminated Veneer Lumber, is designed by gluing veneers of lumber in a way to strengthen the boards’ performance and to prevent the boards from warping, twisting, checking or crowning. LVLs can be made wider and thicker than regular dimensional lumber, and come up to 60′ long. We have available:
